Road Runners Baseball
Player evaluations open for players ages 8U-18U.
Competitive youth baseball development for committed players in the Central Valley of California. Road Runners is currently evaluating players for upcoming roster, training, and tryout opportunities.
Built for coachable players, committed families, and athletes ready to compete.
Every rep should have a purpose. Players need coaching that helps them understand what to improve and how to work.
We want players who are ready to compete, learn, be coached, and bring the right effort to practices and games.
Families should know what the process looks like, what the expectations are, and how their player may fit.
Local fit
Road Runners serves players and families in the Central Valley of California, with practices and evaluations based around Manteca/Lathrop/Ripon. Current evaluations are open for 8U-18U players interested in teams, training, tryouts, or a structured player evaluation.
The best fit is a player who wants to improve and a family ready for consistent communication, expectations, and commitment.
Road Runners is looking for players who listen, respond to feedback, and bring competitive effort to baseball work.
Players should be ready to build habits, handle instruction, and work through a structured development environment.
Effort, attitude, accountability, and team-first behavior matter as much as talent.
Selective by design
Road Runners is not the right fit for families looking for a casual drop-in environment, players who do not want to be coached, or families not ready for consistent communication, expectations, and commitment.
We are looking for players who want to improve, compete, and be part of a team-first culture.
How it works
Parent shares player details, positions, experience, and what they are looking for.
Michael follows up by call or text to learn more and determine whether there may be a fit.
If there is a possible fit, the player is invited to an evaluation, workout, or tryout with the Road Runners staff.
Evaluation focus
Talent matters, but the evaluation is also about habits, body language, baseball IQ, effort, and how a player responds when coached.
Throwing, fielding, hitting, running, positional movement, and how the player handles game-speed reps.
How quickly the player listens, adjusts, asks questions, and applies feedback during drills or live work.
Effort, confidence, resilience, communication, and the way the player carries himself around teammates.
Current roster needs, age group fit, family commitment, availability, and readiness for the Road Runners standard.
